The normal thing that I am most proud of is my ability to make great soap by hand! I love the idea of being able to make something for myself and others that is such a basic necessity. If all the commercial soap manufactures were to go out of business, I would be okay! I'd actually be much better than okay since I'm controlling what is in my soap- no detergents, artificial colorants, artificial fragrances, or chemicals to make the soap hard or foam. Even though it would be easy to go to the supermarket and buy commercial soap, I would much rather make my own natural soap. I'm slowly trying to learn how to make more things that I need day-to-day as I embrace a simple, resourceful lifestyle. For now, I am enjoying making vegan soaps with normal things that can be found in a kitchen and sharing the finished product with you!
Now, about one of my best sellers: Sweet Oats. This soap is one of the first ones that I learned how to make. With simple ingredients and no added fragrance via natural essential oils, this soap is popular among folks that have sensitive skin, eczema, or a liking for mild smelling soaps. The rich oils in this soap are olive oil, coconut oil, and grape seed oil. Brown sugar is what makes this soap "sweet" and ground oats are what give this soap a light speckled appearance. This soap lathers well and has a nice mild gender neutral smell. Check out the Sweet Oats bar in the shop here!
